Man who was growing medical marijuana with a permit, was raided and charged criminally. After his charges were dropped, the police were ordered to return his plants. 67 of them had died and were of “no use for medical reasons.”
The man is now suing Colorado Police for $360,000 in damages. The police refuse to pay.
“Police take an oath to protect the law, you don’t get to pick and choose which laws to follow.”

Lakehurst police didn’t have to go far to make a marijuana arrest. An officer heading home early Saturday smelled pot burning in the police station parking lot.

Are people really afraid of legalizing marijuana? I cannot understand why it is such a crazy idea to let people consume cannabis. People can get drunk all they want, and humanity keeps moving right along.

California’s Proposition 215 legalized medical marijuana in that state 11 years ago as a treatment for pain, the side-effects of chemotherapy, and other ailments. However, the federal government still views all marijuana use as illegal, and the Supreme Court has upheld the federal Drug Enforcement Agency’s right to go after dispensaries.

Marijuana laws are a mishmash among the 50 states. It isn’t entirely legal anywhere, but 12 states have at least partly decriminalized it, to the point that in Alaska there is no penalty for possessing an ounce or less at home.
